From Germany a website against the food waste.

Foodsharing is a “made in Germany” initiative and provides many citizens with an on line space to exchange food which, otherwise, would be thrown out. Good condition of the products is required. For each offer, provenance, quantity, type and eventual date to pick up the food are stated.

The initiative is directed to private citizens, vendors, restaurateurs, producers. The “firts step” toward this “contemporary” version of “barter” has been made in Cologne the 12th of December, thanks to an idea by Valentin Thurn and Stefan Kreutzberger.

In few time the initiative is spreading to other German cities and, shortly, it will reach Switzerland, Austria and other European countries.
