Central African Republic. Tens of people killed by a collapse in a gold mine.

Central African Republic. Ouaka prefecture. The victims of this tragic event were in «a gold mine in Ndassima […], at about 440 km east of the capital city», Bangui (ANSA).

37 persons have been killed by a collapse and «many tens» have been injured. According to «the local authorities, the number» of dead people could be higher, researches being «still underway, between huge difficulties» (ibidem).

The «disaster» would have been caused by «the last days torrential rains» and by the explosion «of a mine», but it is non clear if the latter has been «accidental» or intentional (ibidem).
