From China to Europe by investments. Asiatic banks seem to show their interest.

According to Agenzia Giornalistica Italia, «Chinese banks» would aim to «go shopping in Europe», taking advantage of the cheap prices of the “Old Continent’s assets”. Furthermore, “central authorities” would invite to “diversify”, without invest only in “emerging markets” (agi.it).

Last week, the «first announcement for 379 million euros arrived by Haitong Securities, the second Chinese broker», about the purchase of the investment banking business of Novo Banco. The latter is a Portuguese «institute» introduced in August 2014 in the framework of the «rescue» operation of «Banco Espírito Santo» (ibidem).

According to different sources, «that would be only a taste» and Chinese capitals attention could also been drawn by (the Italian) Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A. (ibidem).
