Syrian conflict: when children and education are victims of the war.

According to UNICEF, last year, 160 children have been killed in Syria during attacks to schools and 343 have been wounded (ANSA).

Christophe Boulierac – UNICEF spokesperson in Geneva – wrote on his Twitter account today that “attacks against schools across Syria in 2014, killing and injuring hundreds of children” were at least 68.

Throughout “the course of the bloody civil war” around “1 million and 600 thousand” children in the Country would have been “forced to abandon their studies due to” a conflict having caused the death of more than “200 thousand” persons (ANSA).
