Around “48 thousand” persons working illegally – or at the limit of regularity – would be employed by the “French state” and, in a large part, by the “Ministry of justice” (ANSA).
The Italian news agency ANSA mentioned, as its source, France Info and a “report delivered to the government”. France Info would have obtained a “copy” of the document (ibidem).
The acronym used to refer to these workers would be “COSP”, namely “Collaborateurs occasionnels du service public” (France Info), which we dare to translate into Casual collaborators of the public service.
It would be about workers who do not receive “a pay slip” and not even “invoices”. Some of them would be even paid “money in hand” (ANSA).
