In the Armenian town of Gyumri, the photographer “Roger Allen” took some pictures of what he described as the “saddest zoo in the world” (Corriere della Sera.it).

It is about the remains of a “private menagerie” of a “rich magnate”. The residents – or prisoners, if you prefer – are “three lions, two bears and two guinea pigs” (news.com.au). Their conditions seem really deplorable, with “authorities” refusing to take responsibility for these abandoned animals and for their “sustenance” (Corriere della Sera.it).
