Arrests related to the facts of last July in Turkey would have been more than 47,000.

In Turkey, following the alleged and “failed coup d’état on last July 15″, the persons having been arrested in connection with those facts and accused to be in contact “with the supposed […] network of Fethullah Gülen” would be “47,155” (Ticinonews.ch). 

The mentioned and up-to-date “figure” would have been provided by the Minister of the Interior Süleyman Soylu, on the occasion of a “TV interview”.

Furthermore, “863 suspects” would be “still wanted” and, altogether, those “taken into custody after the putsch” would have been “113,260” (ibidem).
