According to the information shared by “two diplomats” with “AFP” news agency, a large part of the “victims” comes from Egypt (at least “323”) and Jordan (“60”).

On the basis of what has been “reported” by the “Saudi authorities”, the latter have “taken care of more than two thousand pilgrims affected by heat stress” (Euronews).

At the beginning of this week, for “the Saudi weather service, temperatures reached 51.8 degrees Celsius (125 degrees Fahrenheit) at Mecca’s Grand Mosque” (France 24).

In 2023, “240” persons died, “most of them” from Indonesia (Euronews).
